Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction 
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all occupational therapy services provided by AJB Occupational Therapy to clients/you. By accessing our services, you agree to these Terms. 
 
2. Scope of Services 

We provide the following Occupational Therapy services: 

Video Consultations: Conducted via secure video conferencing platforms. 

Face-to-Face Appointments: Conducted at mutually agreed locations and clinics. 

Home Visits: Therapy sessions carried out at the client’s home for assessment or intervention. 

Assessment:  

Purchase Recommendations: Professional advice on assistive devices, equipment, and products to support daily living and therapy goals. 

All services are delivered by a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. 
 
3. Appointments and Scheduling 
Appointments can be arranged via phone, email, or our online booking system. 

Appointment availability is subject to change and will be confirmed upon booking. 

For home visits, advance notice is required, and a preliminary risk assessment may be needed to ensure safety and suitability. 

For video consultations, you are responsible for providing a suitable internet connection and a private, quiet space. 

 
4. Fees and Payment 
Fees for services are outlined in our current pricing plans. 

Additional charges may apply for home visits (e.g., travel expenses) and will be advised in advance. 

Payment is due at the time of service, unless prior arrangements have been made. 

Accepted payment methods: Card or Bank Transfer 

Late payments may be subject to interest at 25% per month. 


 
5. Cancellation Policy 
A minimum of [24/48] hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. 

Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee  

Repeated missed appointments may result in discharge from our services. 

 
6. Video Consultations 
Video consultations are conducted over secure, encrypted platforms. 

While we take all reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality, no system can guarantee complete security over the internet. 

You are responsible for having a stable internet connection; poor connectivity may affect session quality. 

 
7. Home Visits 
Home visits are subject to a safety risk assessment. 

Pets should be secured, and the environment should be free of hazards during the visit. 

We reserve the right to decline or terminate a home visit if safety concerns arise. 

 
8. Face-to-Face Appointments 
Face-to-face sessions may require health screening (e.g., during infectious disease outbreaks). 

You must inform us of any illness, contagious condition, or other health risk before attending in person. 

 

9. Purchase Recommendations 
We may recommend equipment or products to assist with your therapy goals. 

Recommendations are based on professional judgement; however, we accept no liability for the performance, suitability, or safety of third-party products. 

You are responsible for any purchase decisions and related warranties. 

 
10. Confidentiality and Data Protection 
We manage your personal data in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. 

Your information is used solely for the provision of therapy services and legal compliance. 

A full Privacy Policy is available upon request. 

 
11. Client Responsibilities 
You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information. 

You are responsible for following therapy recommendations and attending appointments. 

You must not record sessions without prior written consent. 

 
12. Limitation of Liability 
We strive to provide effective therapy but cannot guarantee outcomes. 

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. 

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the service in question. 

 

13. Insurance and Third Parties 
You are responsible for verifying any private insurance cover or third-party funding. 

We accept no responsibility for denied claims or reimbursement issues. 

 
14. Complaints and Feedback 
Complaints should be submitted in writing to [email protected]

If unresolved, you may contact our regulatory body, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). 

 
15. Amendments to Terms 
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be available on our website or provided upon request. 
 
16. Governing Law 
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland. 
 
By using our services, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
